About Me

I was born in 1948 so you might say I'm younger in spirit than I am in body. I am the mother of 3 sons and 8 grandchildren - all of whom are my reason to be.

I've been called enough versions of Pollyanna (oh-you-Pollyanna-you, f**king Pollyanna, GD Pollyanna... and the list goes on) that, in spite of good sense, common sense, life circumstances, and that old buzzkill, "reality", I tend to gravitate toward possibilities and hope. Sometimes it takes me a while to get there, but it's where I tend to go, which is why this version of my life is appropriately named... Pathologically Hopeful.

P.S. I was diagnosed with lupus in 2002, so you will undoubtedly see references to that, but I'm working on a spontaneous remission. I'll be sure to post that when I achieve it.
